NSCDC Sanctions 79 Personnel Over Alleged Misconduct

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has sanctioned 79 personnel for various cases of alleged misconduct as part of efforts to strengthen discipline and professionalism within the agency.

The disciplinary action followed internal investigations into offences said to be inconsistent with the Corps' code of conduct and operational standards. The affected officers were found culpable of different acts of misconduct after due disciplinary procedures.

The NSCDC said the sanctions ranged from warnings and demotions to suspensions and other administrative measures, depending on the severity of the offences committed.

The Corps reiterated its commitment to maintaining integrity, accountability, and professionalism among its personnel, stressing that acts of indiscipline, corruption, and abuse of office would not be tolerated.

The agency also assured Nigerians that it would continue to enforce strict disciplinary measures to ensure public confidence in its operations while encouraging officers and personnel to uphold the highest standards of service.
