Sustain Aggressive Offensive Against Terrorists, Mutkut Urges North-East Troops

 

The Theatre Commander of Operation Hadin Kai, Major General Abdulsalam Mutkut, has urged troops deployed across the North-East to maintain an aggressive offensive against terrorist groups operating in the region.

Mutkut gave the charge during an operational visit to frontline troops, where he commended their resilience, courage, and commitment to ongoing counter-insurgency operations. He stressed the need for sustained pressure on terrorist elements to deny them any opportunity to regroup or launch fresh attacks.

The commander encouraged the personnel to remain vigilant, disciplined, and focused on achieving the military's objectives of restoring lasting peace and security across the North-East.

He assured the troops of the military leadership's continued support, including improved logistics and welfare, to enhance operational effectiveness.

Mutkut also reaffirmed the Nigerian Army's determination to work with other security agencies and relevant stakeholders to eliminate terrorism and ensure the safety of lives and property in the region.
