Road Construction: Umahi Needs Proper Guidance, Says Oshiomhole

Former Edo State Governor and Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, has said that the Minister of Works, David Umahi, needs to be properly guided in the execution of road construction projects across the country.

Oshiomhole made the remark while speaking on issues relating to ongoing infrastructure development, stressing the importance of adhering to established standards, due process, and effective project management in the delivery of federal road projects.

He noted that while the government remains committed to improving the nation's road network, decisions on project execution should be guided by sound engineering principles, transparency, and value for money.

The senator emphasized the need for collaboration among relevant stakeholders to ensure that road projects are completed on schedule and meet the expected quality standards.

His comments come amid continued public discussions over the implementation and supervision of major road construction projects being handled by the Federal Ministry of Works.
