Olufunke Ayotunde Akindele, popularly known as Funke Akindele or Jenifa, is one of Nigeria's most accomplished actresses, filmmakers, producers, directors, and entrepreneurs. She was born on 24 August 1977 in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria, into a family that valued education and discipline. Her mother was a medical doctor, while her father was a retired school principal. She is the second of three children.

Education

Funke Akindele attended Grace Children's School in Gbagada, Lagos, for her primary education before proceeding to secondary school in Lagos. She later earned an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Mass Communication from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (formerly Ogun State Polytechnic).
