Early Life

Davido, whose full name is David Adedeji Adeleke, was born on November 21, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Although born in the U.S., he was raised primarily in Lagos, Nigeria, where he developed a passion for music from an early age.

Davido comes from one of Nigeria's most prominent families. His father, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, is a billionaire businessman and philanthropist, while his late mother, Dr. Veronica Adeleke, was a university lecturer. He is the youngest of five siblings.

He attended the British International School in Lagos before moving to the United States to study Business Administration at Oakwood University in Alabama.
